Sir in the algebra questions can you just put x for every questions cause x could be any number?

Nice try Jonathan.
You're right that x could stand for any number so it's what we call a "variable" but in certain situations it can only stand for one thing
eg if
x + 3 = 8
then x must be 5 and nothing else

I havent done my exams yet 4 year 7 but this has defitenly helped but maybe some actual exams will help
