Hi Mr Allan,
I enjoyed your blog and thought I'd say hello. I work at Brigshaw High in Allerton Bywater as a Lead Maths Teacher and thought you might like to have a look at our wiki- we're always looking for collaborators...
Cheers for now,

Hi mr Allen!!!!!!
You taught us in year 8 at Ralph Thorsy and we wanted to say Hey!!!
We thought of you sitting in maths and thought we should say something on your blog thing :)
Remember that time when you said your voice had gone and for half the lesson we belived you and then you just started talking and we hated you :) jokees
or that time when i (Domanik Wightman) said that shelly was bullying me and you belived me. lol
And when you did all those card tricks!!!!
(we want you back)
we want you back for good.
whatever you say, whatever we did, we didnt mean it
we just want you bach for good, we want you back, we would like you back for goood.

Hi Mr Allan,

I came across your blog while looking for sites on statistics for my undergraduate students.

Your pupils are very lucky to have someone like you. I wish my teachers had made Maths half as attractive.

One of my best subjects at school was Chemistry but I was so bored with Maths that I switched to Arts in the Lower Sixth.

I won't say that I regret this decision - I did Modern Languages at Oxford and later won a national prize for languages - but I am still a scientist at heart and I didn't get a science degree until 2000. :-(

So, many thanks for your interesting blog and for being such an excellent teacher.
